The rage128pro 'ultra' is nothing other than an oem model of the rage128pro. It uses the same rage128pro chip and same pci dev code but a different subsys code, which is not in the subsys list of ati's driver. So you just need to delete the subsys code of 'generic rage128pro' line in the inf file, so it would work with all cards under the dev code family. And the ultra clocks a bit differently: 'standard' rage128pro (maybe called xpert128pro): 120/120 high-end version with active cooling fan(probably called rage fury pro): rumored to be 143/143, very rare. Rage fury maxx: dual cores at 125/143 rage128pro ultra: mine reports 133/133 but some others report 118/140.

Rage 128 Pro Ultra is an OEM card. The Pro Ultra should be fairly similar in speed to the Rage Fury Pro. Worse, the Pro Ultra doesn't work with ATi drivers, you need the ones from the OEM. (Or at least, I could never get them working with ATi Drivers.) You have to start the ATI installer that depacks the driver to a temporary folder, while it waits as it tells it couldn't detect compatible hardware you move the files to an own folder.

Then you install the graphics driver manually by forcing the right driver from the list (Have Disk etc.) on the graphics card. Alternative: You find the correct OEM CD. Alternative2: You patch the PCI/VENDOR ID in the inf file.

I know only one 'Pro' Xpert, the 64bit Xpert 2000 Pro with higher memory clock. Never saw actively cooled 128 Pro in the wild. The Fury was 125/143.

Reviewers got actively cooled cards and clock tools reported 143/155, but that was mistake or dirty play. From what I've seen the Ultras are mostly 64bit 16 megs versions, but always with synchronous clocks. Can I see yours?

It was a mess. The Ultra was announced so early it looked to me like a first Rage 128 respin (or even shrink) just to include AGP 4x, but did not materialize. Later it became name of the 128 Pro variant. So far I claim that all 128 bits were Fury, then kinda rare Ultra 128 bit, Xpert 2000 Pro (64 bit PCB) were pretty close in performance, and the 64 bit Ultra could be the slowest, though they have clock variances.

To make it more clear, i'll try to list all variants that i know about: 64bit versions: xpert2000pro that you mentioned AIW, clock at 118:140 64bit version of oem ultra, the pcb has space for 4 32bit sdram chips but only 2 soldered. 128bit versions: 'standard' rage128pro, probably named xpert128pro, 4 32bit sdram chips.

Rage fury pro, pcb layout is almost the same as xpert128pro, but with active cooling fan and higher clock, like this: rage fury maxx, the infamous dual core. Full version of ultra, which has all 4 sdram chips soldered. There is also a variant that i dunno its name, but it has 4 sgram chips and 16mb in total, and the pcb layout is a bit different from the xpert128pro.
