OS X Yosemite is Apple's newest operating system for Mac. An elegant design that feels entirely fresh, yet inherently familiar. The apps you use every day, enhanced with new features. And a completely new relationship between your Mac and iOS devices.

I have a big problem with stuttering streamed audio and video (Spotify, Deezer, Netflix etc) since I updated to Yosemite. It seems to get much worse when the stream in question is not the 'active' thing on my screen. For example when the screen goes black due to standby mode when listening to Spotify or when surfing on one tab while listening on Deezer on another. Also, while watching Netflix on another screen with the laptop lid closed, it doesn't take long before the audio and video becomes off sync.

Does anyone else have this problem or have any idea on a solution? I have a Macbook air 13' mid 2012 and 100 mbit connection. I completely erased the hard drive before installing OS X Yosemite. When you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second. These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator. Launch the Console application in any of the following ways: ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search.

Select it in the results (it should be at the top.) ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens. ☞ Open LaunchPad.

Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid. The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select View ▹ Show Log List from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above. Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.

Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text. Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. Please read this whole message before doing anything.

Press return. Once again thank you. The Music Streamer is my DAC, didn't make any difference wether it was connected or not.

And I couldn't find any of the Clean My Mac files you mentioned. I had all ready deleted a few days ago Clean My Mac with AppCleaner though. Could it still be any traces left of Clean My Mac on my Macbook since you found it in these logs? Also, is AppCleaner something that I shouldn't use either? Anywho, I did find a solution for Spotify at least, haven't found anything for the audio and video getting out of sync yet.

I tried preventing spotify from 'App Nap'-ing through the 'Get Info'-tab, and so far I haven't been able to reproduce the stutterings on spotify. Apple Footer.
